No, this isn’t about the economic crisis. But actually…it kind of is… So I did some spring cleaning today and I’m having a really big problem: I have like no clothes! Seriously, though, I’m not the type of person who has like millions of things in their closet and says they have nothing. This is where it leads to the economic crisis…I need to do some serious damage at stores while not doing too much damage to my bank account. I already look at Urban Outfitters, Forever 21, Bloomingdales, Saks, and Barneys pretty much religiously but does anyone have any suggestions of where to shop that’s not that expensive!??! I could really use some advice.
Thanks!

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven’t been on recently. I know probably seems like a pathetic excuse, but seriously: work has taken over my life. My one relationship that I had going with “Mr. Big” completely just is over. I find him becoming more and more like Justin Bobby every day: He seems so interested in me, and then when I try to make a move, or when I try to make plans, he just backs out. Whatever, you know I’ll keep you updated. By blog is my #1 venting place.

But basically life has been fine. My sister who I’m really close with is starting to make it in the acting business and I’m so pround of her. We’re 4 years apart but we’re so close. So I’m really proud of her and I hope that her talent brings her luck!

For any of you who read A Vogue Idea, written by my best friend Meg, I just wanted to let you know that she’s doing great! She’s kind of stepped away from all leisures, and has been really focused in her work and her acting. She had a little bit of a set back today: she didn’t get the lead in a major motion picture. But I know that she’s so talented and that she’ll pull through.

Anyways, it’s starting to be allergy season which means spring is coming! When I was in high school, all spring meant to me was summer was just around the corner. I go for walks in the park and once its 3:00 PM, I see all of the school girls in their skirts, which makes me miss how easy life used to be when it was so routine: wake up, school, work, sleep. Weekends were for partying. Your parents grounded you. But anyways, back on track, I wanted to do a little piece on prom! I know that my prob was in May, but all of these sights are putting up dress options, so I’m going to share my favorites with you! Enjoy! PLEASE be sure to comment! You have no idea how helpful comments are! xoxox Zoe

Merry Christmas everyone! Sorry I haven’t posted recently. I was really busy with my family and stuff like that. But I got a lot of clothes that I’m excited to wear and a new camera that hopefully I’ll be able to use to post pictures of items that I own instead of just stuff online. I went shopping with my sister the other day and we came across some amazing sales. I got some really great stuff at Barney’s for basically half off of the usual price. So, here are some of my favorite sales right now. Stock up! Do something for the recession: did you know that it is better to buy about the same about you were before, maybe a little less. Don’t buy too much but don’t buy too little! If you think about it, it makes sense. If you are buying food, you are keeping the farmers in their jobs. So, anyways, go out and buy a little something. I’m not trying to make this sound like I’m finding an excuse to go shopping. But just try to do a little something for those who have close to nothing left. Here are my suggestions. Enjoy!

Intermix– Intermix is having a great sale. This Stella McCartney dress was going for $1,295 and is now $509.

Urban Outfitters– Urban’s sale is on a limited amount of stuff, but most of it is pretty good. I especially like this Charlotte Ronson Bolero. It was at first $281 and is now $199.99.

Piperlime– Piperlime shoe store is having a really good sale. I would never be able to wear these boots because my legs are so annoyingly short, but these over the knee boots started at $750 and are now on sale for $369.99.

Saks– Saks is having an amazing sale. I love a lot of the Saks designers so this sale is heaven to me. Here is a Diane von Furstenberg dress (Before: $365 Now: $219) and also a Robert Rodriguez one (Before: $539 Now: $215).

Barney’s CO-OP– This always has great deals. Here is a great Diane von Furstenberg dress (Before: $465 Now: $279) and top (Before: $245 Now: $149).

Fall is coming. And, like any other New Yorker, I’m scouting out the newest trends. Whatever keeps you warm and is fashionable, I’ll take. I can’t wait for the smell chestnuts roasting in midtown, the sight of your breath, the Macy’s day parade, the Christmas trees at Rock center and Lincoln center, and of course, the first snow of the year. There’s nothing more comforting to me than sitting by a fire in Hamptons, listening to Christmas carols, having Hot Cocoa, and decorating our Christmas tree. Anyway, before all of the holidays begin, here are some of my suggestions for ways to keep you warm:

The Perfect Pinstriped Pant (casual or fancy)- Urban Outiftters

Grey Jeans (paired with many cute coats)- Urban Outiftters

Blue Jeans (these are really comfy)- Urban Outfitters

Cords (Very warm, an incessant fall favorite)- Urban Outfitters

A Knit Sweater (Add color to your outfit)- Urban Outfitters

A Comfy Wool Sweater (Love the design on this one)- J. Crew

Andrew Marc Wool Katie Coat (Formal white dress)- Saks

Ellie Tahari Mink Vest (So fashionable and warm)- Saks

Burberry Red Cashmere Coat (Cute for everyday; short)- Saks

Michael Kors Angle Booat (cute for going out)- Neiman Marcus
